Vice President of Products and Delivery
Hajo Birthelmer is Vice President of Products and Delivery and Director of Genkey Africa.
Mr. Birthelmer brings more than two decades of international experience in research, development, and executive management in the software industry. He spent most of his professional career as an entrepreneur, technologist, and executive in Silicon Valley/California, where he started more than 20 years ago as a visiting scientist at the IBM Research Institute. Following his IBM engagement Mr. Birthelmer served as CTO, Director of Development and CSA for Decisis, ABT, Global Project Design and Stabilix, leading the technology and business development in a variety of verticals and markets.
Mr. Birthelmer found his way to Ghana as Sr. Faculty and Chief Technology Officer at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology in Accra, Ghana. Here, he was responsible for establishing long-term technical vision and strategy for entrepreneurial education and for the global launch of new software companies in Ghana, the UK and the USA.
